Welcome daylight and welcome stray life
The city lays haunted in civil strife
And falls ashtray, dies like everyday.
I do hate the blocks the subway
I hate these blank faces in dull weather
As I hear some club struck by a thunder.
Gin and rumble I love together
The chaos blue flames, a burning pole dancer,
Oh that I laugh hard at this wonder ;
Your visage in this crime mist ;
Roses, anguish and playful lust ;
Birds playing with our haste ;
Death with the passers- by in sight ;
Dressed in the hideous mantle of the night
As I stroll the hustle under a dim light
