Black dogs

Down to a blue asphodel alley, I was wearing a white salwar
As I tried to join the shores of my happening nightmare
Was I aware that someone was hiding behind my back
Black dogs joining their screams in a crimson attack

I tried to stroke the head of the first black dog
He bited me and my doomed blood turned black
He bited me until I reached hell, his eyes were yellow yet pristine
I tried and tried to block him from snatching flesh from my skin

Black dogs nightmared my past, devoured my ambition
Running in the midst of flowers, like an upset passion
Ransacked every opened doors, as my friend silenced
Down to this blue asphodel alley, after my eyes bleached ;

I met a priest, he was ruling a forest of singing souls
I told him about my black dog scars, he laughed like a fool
For black dog had biten him too
Now tell me priest, you are laughing, what did I do ?

Did I deserve to be put on a boat, gliding in the emptiness
Did I deserved the mess, did I deserved the jails
The priest vanished, no answer has he gived
For I m a middle-town soul and him a bitten God

Our curses haunt our souls, as priests haunts altars
Black dogs tear the skies, they laugh in our nightmares
No matter how black the bloods become
Until you are not attacked in the night of a middle-town

I met a writer, down to an aquilegia alley
He went crazy when I showed him my soul’s golden valley
When I told me Gods inhabit my most bright dreams
He went crazy and vanished, he did not like me it seems

Down to a blue asphodel alley, I was wearing a white salwar
Black dogs joining their screams in a pristine nightmare
One bited me hard, his eyes were yellow yet hopefull
He bited me and my doomed blood turned black I recall
